Interest rate for government-guaranteed student loans
What is a government-guaranteed student loan?
Between 1964 and July 1993, it was possible for students to take out a government-guaranteed SU (state education) loan (STB) with a bank. Government-guaranteed student loans that have been repaid to a bank with a loan from the Danish Treasury are administered by Udbetaling Danmark – Public Benefits Administration.

Higher interest rate when we collect the loan
If you do not pay the instalments due on the loan, Udbetaling Danmark can pass on the loan to us for debt collection. When we collect the loan, you need to pay debt collection interest instead. You can read more about the debt collection interest rate at the page Interest.
