We may levy execution on your belongings

This means that we obtain security in some of your belongings, for example in your house or your car. You subsequently cannot sell them, give them away or reduce their value. If you do not pay your debt, we may sell off these belongings at a compulsory sale. We will use the proceeds to make payments on your debt.

When we intend to levy execution, we will summon you to a meeting with the bailiff. This will cost you a fee of DKK 450. You must also pay a court fee of at least DKK 300 and perhaps an additional fee of DKK 400.

The meeting with the bailiff will be held at your or our premises. At the meeting, you must

• provide information about your cash at hand, bank deposits and securities
• provide information about your belongings and perhaps show documentation for them
• present financial statements, if relevant, if you are a self-employed person.

The bailiff will assess what you can do without. The bailiff may therefore include your cash as well as your securities and bank deposits. The bailiff may also levy execution on your belongings even though you have not attended the meeting.

Yes – if your debt consists of tax debt incurred while you have been living together, we can levy execution on or make a set-off against your spouse’s/cohabiting partner’s assets. However, we must first try to collect the debt from you.

If we cannot collect the debt from you, this means that we will also process your spouse’s/cohabiting partner’s personal data.
